I decided to sell my house in Salinas, so it took me a long time before I could move on to the backhead. This picture shows the finished backhead. It is O.K. but not really the quality I was aiming for. That is half as good as I want it to be I owe to the master classes at My Large Scale .com.
The master class not only shows you how to build the back head, but tells you why and what all the pieces of the backhead are. After reading those articles I almost had the feeling I could jump in the cab of Steam Engine and fire it up and go somewhere, the article was that detailed.
As you can see from the image below that even as poor of a job as I did, it is a far sight better than what came out of the box.
After the backhead I moved straight into finishing the plumbing and adding the last of the details.
