Coach 64 Brakes-
Richard Kapuaala Date: Mon, 16 Apr 2018 09:36:47

After comparing some of the diagrams a member of the SE forum shared with me, to the images that Uncle Jeff provided of the brakes on 64 I came up with this model. It is impossible to place lettering on a curved surface in Hexagon, in fact it is really hard getting a good print out of Hexagon models.

So I imported the object into meshmixer, converted the various parts (6 in total) into solid meshes. Then I added the lettering as best I could to match what I could see in Uncle Jeff's image.

While I worked on the brakes, the rear wall was printing out. After printing out the front end wall, I redesigned both the rear and the front walls to print out faster by removing some of the cavities I included (mistakenly thinking that would improve print speed) The rear wall printed out in 10 hours instead of 14, so the redesign was well worth the effort.
