Update on my coach 64 model -part one--

I received this 1:20.32 scale print of the beams, bolsters and suspension for the trucks a couple of days ago.
It was printed in one full piece.

(inside of brake pad assembly)
I had the brake pad assembly printed separately.

(outside of brake pad assembly)

They turned out beautifully but right away I determined the only parts of the truck I will be able to cast from these and previous prints of the trucks are the brake pad assembly and the side frames
There are too many occlusions on the bolster part to make a mold.
The one good thing is that the 1:20.32 scale prints are cheap enough and clean enough, I won't have to make castings, I can just have them printed out as I need them.

I'm a sucker for detail and the minute Uncle Jeff showed me the images of the Lomas truck rebuilds I knew I had to include it all.

Especially these little hangers that you won't be able to see unless you pick the coach up and examine it under light.

I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to cast the parts for the 7/8ths scale coach trucks separately. For ease, I'll print out the leave springs only but not the assembly that secures them to the bolster. I'll print a prototype of those parts and cast them. I'll update with a 3D render of the parts as soon as I am finished.
